But from the beginning of his career (which came about somewhat by accident after asking himself what kind of vampire a rabbit might make), he has been most interested in letting his imagination take him in whatever direction it cared to. White Read Aloud Award-winning Houndsley and Catina and its sequels. It sometimes confuses people that the author of the humorous Bunnicula series also wrote the dark young adult novel, The Watcher, or such beginning reader series as Pinky and Rex and the E.B. Lieutenant Colonel Hamilton was actually the mastermind behind the abduction of Sophie and the theft of the pension. Instead, he got into gambling and developed a problem, as did Trooper Shane Lyons. While the book really wants you to believe that Brian was abusive, he actually never laid a hand on Tessa or her daughter. No sacrifice is too great, no action unthinkable. This book did touch on the ethics (or lack thereof) of certain types of lab experiments on animals. Also, Obadiah had some pretty clever strategies! Smart mouse. Hailey was also a neat character, and their friendship proved to be helpful to both of them. I enjoyed his adventures with his new family and his quest to free his old one. The story was actually almost like Stuart Little meets Mrs. This ended up being a really cute book with an important message. I originally picked this book up because I recognized the illustrator and was interested in seeing more of his illustrations. ![]() ![]() ![]() Bullseye (2014), a Will Robie / The Camel Club Short Story.ĭavid Baldacci has been writing since childhood, when his mother gave him a lined notebook in which to write down his stories.
